Size has a lot to do with personal preference, but here are some general guidelines. To find your bracelet size, measure your wrist with a cloth or flexible tape measure and add 1 inch to the number you get. That is your bracelet size. Most adults fall in the 7-7.5 inch range. Necklaces come in a variety of lengths usually ranging from 16-25 inches. Some Irie Jewelry styles have set, or suggested, lengths. When in doubt, measure the length of a favorite piece of jewelry you already own and match its measurement.
If you receive your jewelry and it is the wrong size, simply return it with the corrected size and we will restring it for a nominal fee. Depending on the design, restringing will cost roughly $5-$10.
Care instructions vary according to the materials that make up any one piece. General guidelines include never wearing the jewelry while swimming, showering or doing dishes. Don’t expose the jewelry to harsh chemicals such as cleaning supplies, hairspray or cosmetics. Irie Jewelry should be the last thing you put on before leaving the house and the first thing you take off when you get home. Pieces with sterling silver beads have a tendency to tarnish and should be stored in a ziplock or similar airtight bag. If the silver does tarnish and you would like to remove it, many designers purposefully oxidize certain pieces, rub surface gently with a jewelry polishing cloth. Pieces utilizing semi-precious gemstones should be stored away from sunlight, preferably in a velvet lined jewelry box or bag as they can fade.
All items are shipped USPS First-Class mail with insurance and should arrive about 3 days after shipping. Orders under $100.00 will be charged a $5.00 shipping fee. Orders above $100.00 will receive free shipping. For international orders, please email us for shipping options and rates. Once your order is received it will be placed in the “to design” box and will be made in the order it was received. Most items ship within 72 hours of order placement. This means you should expect your jewelry in about 7 days. If you need it sooner, please email us and another shipping method can be used at an additional cost.
